Fourth Sunday of Lent

Through the energy of love, with the Beloved, we are making our Lenten journey – a special grace filled time for each one of us. We entered this prayerful Season of Lent with ritual of beautiful symbols – ash, water and oil, with a holy purpose and wholeheartedly. Since then, three weeks  have past. Today we have entered the 26th day of this special journey. With deeper silence and solicitude may we have the strength and grace to enter the Paschal Mystery of Christ through whom the whole of creation is being redeemed.

lent2Traditionally this Sunday is called ‘Laetare Sunday’. A day of celebration within the austere period of Lent. The book of Nehemiah says “the joy of the Lord is your strength”. 8:10.
