The Angel of New Beginnings dances and dallies

with ease and delight in and among the planets,

between earth and heaven, revitalising,

challenging and inspiring us to take a fresh look

at where we are; calling us to ponder who we are

in this fragmented, broken , fragile and ever

changing world of today.

In the dance, we are encouraged to make way for a new dawn, letting go with gratitude of our yesterdays, embracing a new year as it unfolds new horizons and releases new dreams.

“For the last years words belong to last year’s language.

And next year’s words await another voice.

And to make an end is to make a beginning.”

                           (T.S. Eliot – Little Gidding)

We pray: “God of power, God of people, you are the life of all that lives, energy that fills the earth, vitality that brings to birth, the impetus towards making whole whatever is bruised or broken.  In you, we grow to know the truth that sets all creation free.  You are the song the whole earth sings, the promise liberation brings now and forever. Amen.”   (Miriam Therese Winter – Woman Prayer, Woman Song)
